FILTER: Including Works, Excluding Don't works?

Hi,

heavy Topic :roll: i know, but i don't know how formule it ...

well...

We have Items that have follow codes:

A50-XXX-1
A50-XXX-2
A50-XXX-3
A51-YYY-1
A51-YYY-2
A51-YYY-3

If I Would Only see this Items I set a filter :

Field: No.:
A5*

it displays me all Items init by A5

But if i set Filter:
<>A5*

it displays me too the Items ....
i have try various filter statements but if i would exclude the Items init by A5 i don't get any result, every time it are listed.

Any Tips? What i'm making wrong? It's a simple filter only ... (*,) ](*,) ](*,)

Savatage has the right idea, though I guess he means <A5|>=A6
The filter ..A5 would exclude A50-XXX-1, but include an item whose code is exactly A5

I Don't Think that futurily they are savin an item with code exactly A5 ...
So i get this for work, but <>A5* is for me the logicalest way

But if i understand correctly the <>A5* only works with SQL Server Option?

Yes, it works only on MS SQL and only for version 3.70+
