SQL collation

Hi there.
We migrated to SQL for version 4.0 SP3.
We have two types of sales orders, with number series SO-###### and SO-ENG######
ENG are engineering orders, we don't have that many. Before the migration, ENG orders were sorted before SO orders, so the last order in the list was the most recent actual order. After the migration, ENG orders are sorted after SO orders and regular sales orders have become harder to find.
How can I go back to the previous sort order, and what are some of the problems I should consider?
Thank you....

SQL have different sorting order. This is a fact. And there is no way how to change that for your example. Because on SQL numbers are before characters...0

I think Mark Brummel did a presentation where this is possible, but it requires the use of temporary table and display the temporary table on the form.
Not a pretty solution and I suspect it'll net you more problems than benefits.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog
