If you work for a Partner , then first go through the Application Designer Guide , which is availble in Product CD.

I guess you should start with "Implementing Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009". You can check out authors' blogs for more information and reviews. That's what she said!0 -
Hi,
Check also mergetool.com, there used to be a very simple introductory book called "C/AL Programming Guide". It's good for dummies like me, and maybe appropriate for newly-hatched developers. It's good for a starter.Boris

You can read this blog post I made a while back about where to begin if you are new to NAV.
http://www.traxidyn.com/blogs/matttraxinger/where-begin
There are a lot of good resources out there, but it can be hard to find them.0 -
Thanks bstoyano, i got the "C/AL Programming Guide". I have seen the recommended books by androjdaz in Amazon. If i don't have any other reccommended and better books, i will buy those ones.

Download course 80042 from eLearning on Customersource or Partnersource. It's something your company has already paid for.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog
AP Commerce, Inc. = where I work
Getting Started with Dynamics NAV 2013 Application Development = my book
Implementing Microsoft Dynamics NAV - 3rd Edition = my 2nd book0 -
Hi Alex Chow,
I am not working for any company. I am just interested in learning Microsoft Dynamics Nav and would like to work on projects if i get a Nav job. So i cannot get access to the two sources you just recommended me. Any other way i can get good stuffs to learn for people like me.
Thanks0 -
You can start here: http://www.traxidyn.com/blogs/matttraxinger/where-begin
There are lots of places to learn, just a little difficult to find them sometimes.0 -
The Dynamics NAV Developer documentation on MSDN at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa546327.aspx should be of use to you as well. These are available in downloadable format at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=eec997be-50c8-4d27-8bf2-fa93c9ac282a.
The NAV C/AL Programming Guide PDF is targeted more for NAV 5.0 than for NAV 2009.
