Default to Edit mode when opening pages

When you open pages directly (i.e. page 9305 - Sales Order List) and double click on a line, it opens a sales order in edit mode.
However, when you open page 42 - Sales Order, it opens it in view mode only.
How do you program a page so it opens in Edit mode?

when you go from a list to a Order. The default is edit mode.
Just right click on on a list page and you'll see that Edit is in bold and default setting.
If you want to open a page in edit mode. Add &mode=Edit to the link.

You can also influence the double click event. \:D/

Guys... I know what you guys are saying, but that's not my question.
If you run page 42 directly without having it open from another page, it automatically starts it in View mode ONLY. My question is, how do you run page 42 directly in EDIT mode.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

Define directly.
Directly (level 1) pages are always the embedded listpages in the role center. From there you start card pages in their own window that would Alt+TAB in windows also.
The RunFormMode property is not working for you?0 -
Directly meaning going to the object designer and running page 42.
I guess it really doesn't matter since the form will be access from teh role center.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

Ah!
Ok, that is for preview purposes only, to see how it looks.
For real testing I always just leave the RTC open. Because it does not need a restart you can easily test there.
But you are right. Edit mode might be better.0 -

Hi guys,
Reading the title and the initial post I thought: this will solve my question. But it didn't.
My question, much alike Alex intitial question, is:
How do you program a page so it opens in View mode?
Or in other words: when double clicking a line on a List Place (e.g. Customer List) I want the Customer Card to open in view mode instead of (by default) edit mode. Any idea how I can get this done?
EDIT:
To get possibly more attention I created a new post for my question: Default to View Mode.0
