The users reported the message below while doing their daily posting routine (for Sales and Purchase) and previously there was no issue.

"You do not have permission to read the Record Link table"

Record Link table was already checked and there was no record found.

Why a record link data stops other users from posting their documents which do not have any connection to the record link data?

What is Record Link? From which forms the Record Link table is updated? From which SO user input field, adds the record link id in the record Link table?

    Hi,

    We need to assign Role ID: ALL (All Users) to every user defined in the database. This role has a read permission for record link table.

    This should solve your problem.

    Hi,

    Question is why in the previous months doing same routine, the user was able to post a lot of CN using same item without issue of giving permission in the record link.

    Notes and links are both stored in the Record Link table.

    You can attach a note or a link to a specific record in Microsoft Dynamics NAV, such as a customer or order.

    Open any document then in the Tool bar click the Icon LINKS or use the shotcut CTRL + L , then attach the document.
