RTC Drop down view

Hi Guys,

Version: NAV 2009 SP1
Database: SQL

I am having problems adding fields to the menu which appears when you select the drop down any field.

I am entering a Sales Order Line, I have selected the Type as Item and now I want the drop down to show other extra columns. I know by clicking on advance you can then select any column.

Where are you trying to add it?

You should try it in the Field Groups, just under the normal Keys shortcut in the page designer.

Just to give you a little more detail on the steps.

In object designer design the table. Click on View->Field Groups. And add it to the group column.

My question would be why they have multiple field groups?

Yep.

I asked that to the program manager and he didn't know.

When they were developing this. (Years ago). No one realy knew what was going to happen. (Does that sound bad?)

It's kind of scary, but makes sense for big projects.
