Item Conversion in NAV

Hi,

Is anyone has an idea how to record conversion (processing) of 1 item to another item in NAV 5.0 using: 1) NAV BE Licenses or 2) using NAV AM Licenses:
Example: Item G001 (1 sheet Glass) is cut into 4 pieces to become new item (G001-A)
At the end of the conversion process, i would like to know how many G001 is converted to G00-A.

Do you use production module?

I dont have production module since my client license is BE. Is there a work around i can use?

The simplest way to achieve such a conversion is to negative adjust G001 and positive adjust G001-A and use a reason code to connect those two item movements. Unfortunately several reason codes must be created manually. But of course this is the rawest way to link an output to consumption. There will be no cost flow from G001 to G001-A as in the production module.
