Adjust Cost Entries(Nav3.7) Problem in Performance

Hi Experts,

I am using Nav3.7, While running Adjust Cost Batch job it takes 3 days but it is not completed, it is still on processing.

We are having 1641882 Entries in ILE.

My system RAM is : 2 GB.

By increasing the system RAM is it possible to increase the performance or is there any way to increase the performance.


Please suggest me.

    First question : native or SQL?
    Second question : if it is SQL, which version of SQL (2000,2005,2008) ; (standard ; enterprise) ; (32bit ; 64 bit) are you using?

    Dear Kriki,

    I am using Native Database and also OS windows Server 2003 (32bit).
    Is there a way to change the performance.

    Now I can ask you more targeted questions:

    -are there other programs running on your server? The answer should be no.
    -How much memory is your db-cache ? The answer should be : at least 800MB.
    -Is your commit-cache enabled? The answer should be yes.
    -How much free space is available in your DB? The answer should be : at least 80%.
    -How big is your DB?
    -How are your disks configured (RAID1, RAID10). NO RAID5.
    -Where are you running the client that must calculate everything? Best do that on the server. It is a lot faster.
