Responsibilty Center in Navision

Hi All,

I am using native database of Navision 4.0SP3.
Can you please let me know what exactly Responsiblity Center does?

Suppose a user has been assigned Sales Responsibility center as Hyderabad in the user setup,
what are the reading and posting permission he will having against all Responsibility centers?

How can I restrict the user to 'read' and 'post' entries only to Hyderabad Responsiblity center in Navision database?

    The Responsibility Center is meant to be a reference field and does not have restrictive functionality behind it. I know it would be nice and clients usually ask for functions like that, but they are custom.

    From my use of the system, I see Responsibility Center as a way to filter records and reports, to help end users and managers.

    You could develop a solution around the user login table so that the responsibility center you tie to the user ID is automatically filtered when a selected form is opened.
