Variant Wise BOM

I have 1 FG Variant Wise (Nike Shoe Size Wise). For this FG , I have defined BOM without Variant and attached it on the Item Card. But I had to define Variant Wise although NAV has this option, we can define Variant on BOM Line.
If I do the same, I have to create Item Card for each Variant.

Is there any Option that we can define 1 BOM (without Variant) for 1 FG Variant Wise where FG will consume size wise component which is defined on Sales Line?

Yeah it sucks. Some of the fields are there, and it always looked to me like someone forgot to finish that.

its not that hard to customize, but the code is all over the place so it can take an age to find out exactly where to make the few needed changes.

I would instead of adding it to Variant, to add it to SKU.
You'll have to modify less with this approach.

I have suggested this to MS.

Yeah..it's true. NAV has no clue about this. one of client changes the BOM very frequently and wants ho have this option. I am afraid MS has not given emphasis on ECC. I was about the customized this, but dropped the idea, as we are running planning engine for this client.

Sorry but it's not possible in default Nav,You can customized this functionalty by Adding New Fields in bom line quantity(like Qty1,qty2),and one in sales line (like size).,now customized the demand Function , calculate demand use Qty1,Qty2 according to sales line size field
