Hi,
I want to the purpose of Stockkeeping Unit related to Item.
and how can i use it for Order Planning so that

Requisition is created for Purchase on "Order Planning" with Replenishment System = Purchase if there is not sufficient inventory
OR
Requisition is created for Transfer with Replenishment System = Transfer On "Order Planning" if there is not sufficient inventory at one location but Inventory available at other location.

    The SKU allows the user to hold different item specific metrics by warehouse/location. So I can say I stock items in NY, and when the minimum is hit I purchase them, and the same item at LA has a different minimum stock holding and when this is hit I get them on a transfer from NY. This is handled through the replenishment system field - the transfer option is only available on the SKU. You can also define different default vendors per SKU, different reordering policies and also see the costs if you keep these by location.
