Change field name presented in WSDL?

Is it possible to change the field name when exposing a page as a web service?
I tried changing the caption on the field in the page, but the name is still exposed in the WSDL.

Would be nice for things like the Name field that causes problems in VS. Perhaps adding a "language" that allows for the caption of a specific language to be pushed out? Then the ability to create a custom language and to assign which language the NST uses?
Just thoughts off the top of my head. I'm sure there are better ways to do it.
