Hi all,
We currently have Native data base for Nav4.0 the size of the database is 9GB.
We are migrating it into SQL. The backup taken from Native takes about 70hours to restore in SQL.
Can somebody please help with the following querries:
1) Process of Migration from Native to SQL.
2) Does it take 70 looooong hours to restore in SQL.

Grab the upgrade toolkit documentation from partnersource. There is an entire section devoted to upgrading from native to SQL.0

Or you are doing the restore over the network (like fbk on computer A, the client that does the restore on computer B and the SQL server on computer C).
You should have all and do all on computer C.Regards,Alain Krikilion

The Version is Nav4.0 SP3 & SQL Server is 2005. I have taken the backup from Native database(It has 34companies, 9 Gb Size) created SQL DB & when i try to restore it get lot of issues. I created a TEST plan & could complete the first TEST & restoration(Took 70 Hours). When i am doing the same again in the TEST environment i have the beloe Errors:
1) Taking about 70 Hours.
2) I have issue with Windows Login sync(In the First Test).
Please help me with following:
1) Correct procedure of Native to SQL conversion.
2) I was told that Microsoftt doesnot support migration from Native 4.0 to SQL.Is this true.
3) Tests i need to perform after migartion to make sure i dont have any issue.
