RTC for different DB

Dear All,

My sql server05 have 2 db. How to config my RTC to open another DB other than default installation one?
Jz curious where's the parameter stored to point the RTC to open default DB cz i wish to change it. Any idea? Thx in adv.

1) Already discussed on the forum... just search..
2) You need to change configuration or create new NAV Service tier for the second DB. This is the point which drives which database you will see, not RTC.

Hi All,

I managed to create NAV Service tier for the second DB.
In my sql server05 got 2 servers. eg: pcserver and pcserver\sqlexpress

pcserver using window authentication which defaultly pointed by rtc.
pcserver\sqlexpress i used database authentication. I want to use rtc open pcserver\sqlexpress db but I dunno where to specify userid=sa password=sasa(sqlserver id & password) in customSetting.config. What's the syntax to specify sqlserver id & password? Any idea?

You cannot use DB authentication with RTC...

Dear All,

Why my rtc keep accessing default NST db although i've created another NST for pointing to another db and change the databaseserver value and serverinstance name value in 2nd nst customsettings.config file. rtc seem like do not read the parameters(databaseserver value and serverinstance) that i set in service2 folder. Any idea?
