Cost amount actual is a flowfield on Item Ledger entry and it sums all the value entry. So they cannot be different.
My guess you have more than one value entry for the Item Ledger Entry.0 -
Maybe someone did a revaluation journal to change the value of the item?0

He just needs to drill down on item ledger entry cost amount actual and he will see all the value entries.0

If you navigated on the document number, try remove the posting date and hit navigate again. This will show all the value entries per that document number.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

You all said it right............its a revaluation issue....
If I compair the Inventory valuation report and the Inventory - Transaction Detail (Report No. 704) the system is showing difference and it is the same amount which is due to revaluation journal was posted........
thanx guys............ =D>
