Please Explain me how the Printer Selection Work in Navision

Can you Please explain how the Printer selection works in Navision. I need to pass some information when the report print. I am trying to set a name to the report when its print. Can anybody explain it?

Printer selection is just function in CU1 which will return printer name to which the report will b printed for the active user. Nothing more, nothing less, there is no way how to set the name during that.

And I have another question?
When we are click print button when report is running if we specify the special printer it will chose that printer. Other wise it will chose default printer as its printer. Can you please explain this process and how its happen?

The NAV printer selection table is mostly used when printing report without request form. Else it works as you described. Default printer is preselected, but you can choose another one... what is not clear on that?
