Unable to Maximize Page when Using RUNMODAL

Does anyone know why pages that are displayed using RUNMODAL cannot be maximized? Using RUN fixes the issue. It's not the case with forms. It doesn't open in a separate window and the page can be resized using the "click the edge and drag" method.

Just a bug? Or is there a legitimate reason? NAV2009 SP1.

Thanks.

When you run a modal page, it is hosted by the parent page where it is started from. Usualy you run a page modal in a process where you want the user to stick to the page during the process.

This seems ok behaviour to me for modal processes but maybe you can explain a situation where this is different.

Sure, just as an example. The user opens a list page using RUNMODAL. That page is sized properly for the default number of columns presented. The user manually adds 4 or 5 columns that are not visible by default and now has to constantly scroll over and down to see the information they want when the ability to maximize would give more than enough room.

Some might say just make the page bigger to start, but then it just looks like a huge form with only a little bit of information.
