hello everybody,
i want to know is item BOM and production Bom related to each other in any way?
why we need to specify an item as BOM when we are already assigning production BOM for the item.

Production BOM are only mandatory if you want to work with the Manufacturing Part of Navision. IF you already work with Production BOM, there is no need to define BOM.
When you are assembling goods and not using the manufacturing module, you can use ITEM BOM.
WHen u are using manufacturing module, u need to use Production BOM.
