Missing customer ledger entries

Suddenly, when users post a sales order or service order, the customer ledger entries are not being created. All other relevant entries are created. Any ideas?

Try to replicate your process in the CRONUS database.
If you cannot replicate the problem, then most likely your NAV partner made some customizations that caused the problem.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

I'm the only person that maintains the database. I haven't imported any new or modified any objects. We've been live since 10/1/08, but the problem just started on 9/11/09.0

The system doesn't just "break" by itself. It's always caused by someone. I would check any changes that was made to the database, in addition, I would ask around whether someone imported an old object by accident. In either way, the system has been changed to not allow posting of customer ledger.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

May be just the users have filter when looking on the customer ledger entries? Have you used the Navigate function? Why do you think that the entries are missing? Sometime the solution is only to look correctly. But may be they are really missing, but we need the way how did you proof it.0 -
I verified by using the Navigate function within the posted sales/service invoice forms and by looking in the Cust. Ledger Entry table (both within NAV and directly within SQL Server Management).
There are absolutely no customer ledger entries after 9/10/09, including payments, invoices and credit memos.0 -
There were not any changes made to the NAV objects, SQL database or even the server.0

Is possible that somebody deleted them?
If you make copy of the DB and you will try to post something, will be the entries created?0 -
No one deleted the entries. I did copy the DB and attempted to post several orders. No cust. ledger entries were created.0

SOLVED - There's an option/checkbox the partner added to the customer posting group table that prevents the customer ledger entries from being posted. An end user had checked this box for the primary customer posting group.0

Very dangerous indeed. Nonetheless, standard NAV will always post customer ledger entries.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog
