    64bit or 32bit? (I assume 64bit OS and SQL)
3 logic partition of HD 400GB

That's problem for such a big database... logic partitions are not good, and only one HDD is not good too...

You need one HDD for Temp table, one for Transaction log and one for NAV DB as minimum... BUT NOT LOGICAL DISC! It must be physical discs...

    Hi kine,
Our sever have 32bits SQL and Windows, and about discs we have 3 physical : one for DB files, the second for LOG file and the third for the OS.
    What about this config?

If you have 32bit system and SQL, than 6GB of RAM is waste... ;-)
3 logic partition of HD 400GB
and about discs we have 3 physical : one for DB files, the second for LOG file and the third for the OS.

    What is true?

Are the HDDs in some RAID?

    What about network?

    Hello,
    For Kine:
1:I'am sorry ,We have realy 3 physical HDs, after a small verification I conclude this.
2:How can I verify that discs are ih the same RAID or not?
3:About network we have 100MB of speed.

    For davmac1:
1:We have a licence of 30 users but realy there are only 20 users connected to the DB.
2:About terminal servers ,we have 7 users connected to the server with VPN.

    Thank you for Help
