Transfer Order

Hi All

1) Transfer orders shows released status, but still appear in Transfer orders in Inventory. It does not gets deleted automatically after the posting. If i am trying to post system prompts message There is nothing to post.

2) When i check the Inventory, from the From location of the Transfer order the Inventory was removed but to the To Location the inventory was not added. why?

Kindly suggest if any one has a solution for the above issue.

    The transfer order processor is

    when you ship it will transfer the Qty From location (qty = -5) to In-transit location (qty = +5)

    when you receive then it will transfer from Intransit Location (qty = - 5) to To location. (Qty = +5 )


    I think that you completed the first step , next step is to receive the materil TO _ location ,

    Enter the Qty in Qty - To- receive field and post (Receive)
    then system will update the stock in To Location.

    Thanks for your quick replies.

    Posting transfer orders r not new to me. but recent times i have observed some of the transfer orders does not gets deleted after posting ship and receive. One the transfer order struck with the similar problem shows

    Qty to Ship 0,
    Qty Shipped 600,
    Qty to Receipt 600,
    Qty Received 0.

    When i try to enter Qty in "Qty received", system prompts message "no item in transit"

    i hv no clue how to sort out the issues.

    System automatically delete the Transfer order when Qty = Qty Shipped = Qty Received.

    Why you want to enter the qty in Qty Received field . THis is not correct.

    Your Job is enter the qty in Qty .to receive only then Post as receive then system will transfer that qty to receive to Qty received.

    Hello Rao

    my question was exactly same. why the system is not deleting the posted transfer orders. The transfer orders still exists under Inventory, while trying to post them systems says 'nothing to post' and it does not get deleted if noting is there to post.

    Still no clue on this issue, is there any way directly we can handle the issue at the back end in database. please suggest.

    Check the fields in Transfer order Line for that Transfer orders which are not deleting automatically.

    If qty = QtyShipped = Qty Received system has to delete that one.

    Let me know about the field values .

    I have another reason why system is doing like this .

    That field Qty Received is showing Zero , that means you did not receive the stock to Receive Location.

    Is it correct ?

    or

    Even you receive the stock at receive location system is not update that one ?

    Transfer Line table shows

    Transfer number : OTO90272
    Item Number : LF000100
    Quantity :1000
    Quantity to Ship : 0
    Quantity to Receive : 1000
    Quantity Shipped : 1000
    Quantity received : 0

    Please see,here Quantity to Receive : 1000 It's means Quantity will be recive, not currently received and Field Quantity received : 0 show that there is nothing to receive, first you receive quentity 1000 then Transfer order aautomatically delete.
