MS SQL Server ODBC driver

I have seen numerous postings and replies re the problem IN SQL Server with the 'dots' in the Navision database table names.
Has anyone resolved this issue yet? I am using MS SQL Server ODBC driver 2000.80.194.00 - is there another driver I should download? I do need to use ODBC in some cases, so other data connectivity types won't solve all my problems.
Thanks!

You can create views in SQL-server for the tables you want to access through ODBC. In the views you can remove the "." in an alias for each field.0
