                    Hi Everybody,
I am trying to install the demo for Navision 2009 using the official installation setup. I have got 2 sql server 2000 instances on my laptop and 1 sql server 2005. Is it possible to define on which instance the demo is to be installed as the following errors messages are cropping up:

I don't think the demo option installed on instanced sql server.
I suggest to go to custom and select what you need to install.
Then attach the db manually and run sql scripts.

Just to point out it NAV 2009 doesn't not support SQL 2000. In NAV 2009 RTM it's only possible to install the database manually and run some SQL scripts if you are not using that default instance name of your SQL server that you are installing on. For NAV 2009 SP1 it will be supported from the installer to specify instance name for SQL server.

It exist one more way to install the database manually. Instead how simple copy the one installed you can attach the one on the DVD directly. Take a look on my blog about.
