Production order from sales order

Hi
When I make production order from sales order, my:
- item inventory is 10
- quantity on sales order 20
Why Navision make production order for 20 items when I need to produce only 10?

    It depends what ur reordering policy is.

    To have this u need Include Inventory Checked on Item Card and some policies(Order and Blank) do not let u do that. So what ur policy is :?:

    Reordering policy: lot-for-lot
    Manufacturing policy: make-to-order

    Also are you using SKU's? What is set here? If not what is the components at location setting? Where is the stock? Where is demand?
