Merge NAD and Manufacturing

Had anyone merged NAD and Manufacturing??
I understand that it is not recomended, but if there is a requirement for a customer then it might have to be done!

Have you tried it?
Can you give any feedback please?

    Well, we've got them in the same database and got them working independently of each other. Well, we've not bothered with the contracts & usage based procurement. And we're expecting to use different RDT's but otherwise NAD is there.

    Basically, its a laborious task of using the compare tool to see where NAD differs from NM and then manually patch it all in. The main stuff is to change NAD reservations over to use the NM method. Then you start testing it and fix any bits that you missed/got wrong. In some cases, NM does things better than NAD so you have to recognise that too.

    It's painful and slow and mind numbing and you really don't want to do it if there is any way to avoid it. BTW, don't ask for the objects, they are all full of customer specific mods too!
