Ask for a text on run a report

Dear sirs; I've a report and, on run it, I want that ask me for a text first. After I want that the text that I've introduced appears on report. I suppose that I've to crate a text variable and ask for it, but I don't know how.

Have you looked at any of the documentation (Developer I or II, Application Designer Guide), the C/SIDE Help from the client, or just played around with it? I'm assuming you have report designer in your license as well.

How about adding the text you want to introduce into your report on the request form?

Or are you set in stone about using a dialog box?

Thanks for reply. I prefer don't use a dialog box, because the user has to remember that has to go to Options label; I'd like to show a comment dialog to enter the text. It's possible to do that?.

Here's an example of how to do an Input dialog.

You can try placing the code on the PREREPORT section of the report.
