Issue install demo of NAV 2009 - Role Tailored Client

This is what I have done so far, all on a single machine which is my laptop.....

1. Installed NAV 2009 from the setup.exe
2. It has installed both the Classic client and the Role Tailored client.
3. I can access the Classic client and actually connect to a database and company
4. When I go to launch the Role Tailored client “Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009” from my Start Menu, I get the following error;

" You do not have permission to run the "Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server" system. Contact your administrator to have your permissions changed.

Then it takes me to the following screen...

"Select Server and Company" - Connect to a Server. The server name it is coming up with is "localhost/DynamicsNAV"

Obviously I need to configure something else as far as the server goes? There are no instructions in the demo install, so I'm a bit confused.

Is it a licence file issue?

    sounds likes it not looking at the right license to me.

    Are you trying to use your own and not the cronus.fluff? (I've always wanted to do that ;-) )

    I am pretty certain that this is a license file issue since I had the same problem and fixed it when I got my license file updated....

    Are you running it with the cronus license file?

    I had the same issue.. Trying to start the NAV Service, getting the error "You do not have permission to run the 'Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server' System. Contact your system administrator to have your permissions changed"

    To correct the error - Go to the classic client and upload your NAV license that has permissions for NAV 2009. I uploaded our partner license and correceted the problem.
