Upgrading 3.10A to 5sp1/6.00

I'm in the process of upgrading a customers DB from 3.1A to 5sp1/6.00 and i have a few questions.
I'm aware that i have to go through 4sp3.
Now isn't it possible to do the upgrade in the following manner without loss
Only add any customized fields to standard nav-tables. Ignore code attached to these fields, that is i won't be able to compile the objects in 4.3 because there could be validation code that wouldn't compile. Ignore rest of customization
In customization of the 5.1 objects pay resopect to ALL the objects, that is implement all customized code, forms, codeunits etc.
Furthermore isn't it correct that the only thing you have to do to upgrade from 5sp1 to 6.00 is to restore a backup of the 5sp1 into 6.00?
I hope my question gives some meaning, and someone is able to give an answer
Regards

Search the forum. There is a thread on how to upgrade from 3.6 to 2009. It is the same steps from your version.0

As far as 5 to 2009 you will need to remege the objects. I suggest to upgrade to sp 1 2009.0

Also we have a customer having old Navision 3.10a and wanting to go to NAV 2009 SP1.
I don't understand very well if it is possible to make an only one migration (following the manual 3.6->2009 SP1) or which is the better step.
Thank you0 -
Read this thread and it will show you how to do it one step. So that you don't need to merge the objects twice.
You will will still need to run 4 CU instead of 2 CU.
