How to limit number of open windows?

Hi,
Is it possible to limit the number of open windows to only one in Nav5.0?
If so , how can i do that?

    1) There is no way
    2) How he will use the lookup forms etc.?
    3) Better is to teach him to use NAV correctly...

    "The client wants it" is not really the answer. In fact surely the client does not know what they really need, which is why they are paying you all this money. You need to understand their business need and solve the business need, not simply hit Shift+F12 and start writing code and sending an invoice each time the client sneezes.

    I'm so sorry for asking such a Stupid question!!!!. I'm new to navision and still on trainning and was just looking for some answers for my manager. :cry:

    There are no stupid question...

    As a beginner, you need to know that you need to ask questions when you need to solve something. To be able to solve something correctly, you need to know what you are expected to solve, what somebody tell you is only example of solving the problem (but it is told as request). It is on you to offer another solution of the problem, but you need to know the real problem. Limiting number of opened windows is request probably solving something, but it is not technically possible. It means you need to know what is the source of the problem and offer another solution for it...

    I want to pick up this question again, because we need this feature too.

    Our reason is a technical problem with Citrix.
    If a user opens too many windows (approx. 40) finsql.exe is trying to allocate more memory and if the memorypool is finished, Navision crashes. This is quite poor memory handling.

    And yes, we could train the users, but I want to avoid this problem.
    Knowing this is not the root cause, but this could be a workaround - limiting to 30 open windows.

    Anyone thought about hooking into the user rights handling?
