Sending SMS on to Mobile.

Hi All,

Is there any possiblity to send details from Navision through an SMS to customer's or vendors mobile. If so please le me know the process.

    Hi Sasidhar,

    There is nothing standard in Nav for this but a number of addons available. Basically you are sending an email to a defined account with some handshakes.

    You have two options easiest and cheapest is to use a Bulk Web based SMS gateway provider (e.g. Bulk SMS) or you can add an SMS box with it's own SIM card to the server. The API calls for each service provider are different so programming depends on what you want to send/receive e.t.c.

    We have a standard addon ourselves you can download the fact sheet from

    it's about €500 from memory and provides pre built API's for 6 of the mail SMS gateways.
