am right?0 -
Yes. To be specific..One of my dimensions is Country..I just want CON to appear on the sub form. Here, CON is code for dimension name country.0
-
then go to table 37-sales line
open in design
select field no 40-Shortcut Dimension 1 Code
go to properties
set name = COU0 -
Properties of this table field? I m lost here.
In addition I could see only 2 shortcut dimensions. How do I know field numbers?
(P.S. Hence proved, I am not in this designing and developing area.

select the dimension for which u want to cahnge the name
and Go to View-->Properties
OR Shift + F4
set name0 -
HI learner,
did u set any default and short cut dimensions?0 -
There are 6 dimensions and all have been setup for global and shortcut.
I still do not get the set name in the form.

i think this will also work
give the name in quotes
lik 'COC'0 -
Deepu and Mohan,
I tried this one to setting translations back to default. I replaced the property to 'COC' which was formerly '1,2,1' ( ??
). This led to Blank cloumn head.
I will go with setting translations in dimension setup!
Thanks again for the help.

When the CaptionClass is set up as abow it means as follows. The first sign (1) tells the system that is a Dimension Caption. The second sign (2) tells the system it is a Shortcut Dimension and the third sign (1) tells the system it is Short Cut Dimension 1.
Had the first sign been a 2 it would have meant VAT Caption.
Had the second sign been a 1 (with the first one being 1) it would have meant Global Dimension.0 -
Oh! Thanks..
To all:
Is there any other way to change such heading/caption only on one form/table, not doing entire dimension translation?0
