Creating data source of the ODBC

Hi, all
i've installed odbc on my machine and now i would like to create a datasourse,using that odbc.
can anyone show me how to do it.
i don't understand the sample one, which odbc are they calling there in the data source or do i have to create any name.

ODBC? Nice topic. I want to ask to the master too.
I ever read that ODBC not validate field in Navision,therefore, What advantage using ODBC?
for the real case in Navision's projects, WHEN we can use ODBC?
Anyone can share his/her experiences in ODBC ?
