JOB accounts posting.

Hi ,
Could any expert please explain about JOB accounts posting .
How & when these accounts will post .
Even I gone through the manuals I am not able to understand about these accounts.
Please help me

    Which version u r asking for 4.0 or earlier or 5.0 -- later ?

    5 A/cs are there on Job Posting setup ok

    Job Costs and WIP Job

    Job Sales and WIP Sales

    and G/L Expense.

    In addition to this u have two a/cs Job costs adjustment and Job Sales Adjustment a/c in General posting setup.

    Now whenever u will post a entry type usage (means incur cost) before completion of job i.e. status is equal to order and not equal to complete. And u run this batch job calculate WIP job and post WIP to G/L it will post a Dr WIP costs to cr Job Adjustment.

    Same for all sales figures, for all the invoices with the same status, but reverse entry in corresponding sales a/c. i.e. Cr WIP Sales and Dr Sales Adjustment.

    The moment u close ur job i.e. status = complete u will run this process again these all entries will be reversed.

    With some new postings

    Go thru pdf once it will be more clear because now from 5.0 onwards Jobs are not so easy as they are in 4.0 :)
