Different number series

Hi,
I want to create the purchase orders with different number series.
That means Wareshouse wise , Item wise ( RM, Electrical, engineering,), cash purchases ....
How to assign the different number series for purchase order.

Could u throw the path to assign the differrnt number series for Purchase order.




Note : when it comes to Navision we can solve the above problem through relationship concept .

    hi austin,
    Well i also suffered with same kind a problem....but got out of it through customization ...i also want to know if there is a kind of functionality in base.

    You can setup number sequence groups against the vendor and customer to override the standard parameter driven number sequences, but you cannot generate a purchase order based upon the type of item that is entered because the number is assigned prior to the item being entered. Have a look at the overriding grouping, nut arguably a different number holds no real value when the warehouse is on the order. Also remember in AX you can have different delivery addresses per line, so how would the purchase order number ever handle this?

    Go to the setup tab of the customer/item and the number sequence group field is there. No idea where it is off a main menu.
