how to restict the user to close the form

Hi all

I want to restrict the user to close the Navision form on a specific condtion.

I have the code on form close event

if vender.postinggroup = '' then
begin
error('can not be close form');
form.run(21)
end
else
exit;

but this code is not working.

on the OnQueryCloseForm trigger just put:

if vender.postinggroup = '' then
error('can not be close form');

Sounds like you're trying to implement some mandatory fields.

An error like this works if they close the form from the record you're on. but if they click to next record and that record has the field properly filled in then they can close the form and your original problem has not been solved.
