Employee Portal error: communication error (10114)

I already checked many threads about this error but didnt manage to resolve my problem...

The Warning I get in the event viewer is this:
"The description for Event ID ( 20010 ) in Source ( COLNAV-DEV-20070104 ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: The TCP/IP connection's 'host' is not answering (TCP/IP error ECONNREFUSED).

You can see how to make changes to your 'hosts' and 'services' files in the documentation for the network. Contact your system manager if you need assistance."

All configurations seem to be OK.

Someone can give me an hint on what can be the problem?

    Are you sing a firewall to block NAS or something ?
    Host name is correct ?

    Where is the error? NAS, MSMQ ?

    about firewall I dont think so.
    The error seems associated to MSMQ.

    But still didnt manage to get it OK...

    COLNAV-DEV-20070104 is name of your PC, NAS service or DB service?

    Check hostnames.
    Check service by service if they are all running correctly and accepting remote connections.

    COLNAV-DEV-20070104 is the name of the database being used by NAV.

    But thanks for the help, it was a problem with NAS, I reinstalled and configurated all again.

    And now is working fine \:D/

    Hi all,
    I am facing the same problem in Modifying the shared document.
    First before modifying shared document, the EVEVT VIEWER is showing me the desc as follows :

    The description for Event ID ( 20010 ) in Source ( WIN2K3R2EE-CLASSIC ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: The Application Server for Microsoft Dynamics NAV WIN2K3R2EE-CLASSIC started with the following configuration:
    Database Server Name = WIN2K3R2EE
    Database =
    Company = Paradigm Inc - TESTING
    Startup Parameter = NEP-1


    When I am going to modify it, it's showing me the event description:

    Event ID 10131
    Cannot retrieve site information.


    and in site it is showing me the error 10114 with the message as reply received from Back End System (Time Out).

    Can anybody help me?
