see different charachters on clients on different op.system

I have Navision Database Server installed on Windows 2000 Server (English Version) and Navision clients installed on Windows 2000 (Italian Version).

I write some special charachter (as ø or o with dieresis and others) in a Navision Client form a workstation (not on the server).

When I open the same form on the server I see wrong charachters in place of the ones I wrote.

And viceversa!

Please, notice the as I WRITE special charachter either on workstation or server I SEE the correct symbols. The problem shows when I see special character written in the OTHER kind of server.

    It looks like your client and server differ in "Language for Non-Unicode programs" setting.

    I didn't know about that.
    Is it a feature of XP and Server 2003?
    I am working only with Win2000 machine.
    Where may I find those settings?

    Check "Control Panel" then "Reginonal andLanguage Settings" then 3rd tab...

    It is setting in Win2k, Win XP and Win2k3...
