Navision client hangs and restarts when generating reports

Hello everyone.

I have two clients Navision 4 SP3 in windows XP attacking directly to SQL Server on a 2003 server. Everything works perfectly except when generating the reports, that very occasionally I get an error message from windows and restart the program losing all data modifications.

Error 1000 appears in the event viewer of client, but does not explain much else.

I am desperate, any suggestions to solve this?

    Can be problem in SQL Server? anyone know if that solves with some service pack?

    This may be the fact that you are using different client (for example 6.0 client) with 4.0 database. Your situation may be different. When 4.0 database is opened with 6.0 client it adds some additional properties to the report object, which results in an error when trying to run it from older than 6.0 client. Hope this makes sense.

    All clients have version 4.0 SP3.

    Authentication is directly accessing SQLServer 2005. There is no Navision server.
