5.01 (NA) DB1/SL Depreciation Method

It appears when I update the "Declining Balance %" for a subsequent year of depreciation, that value is multiplied by the asset's current book value rather than the original acquisition cost when I execute Calculate Depreciation. Is there an easy way to make it look at acquisition cost? I'm kind of a new newbie to fixed assets.
Many Thanks,
mw

Only once you will give the percentage in FA Line.. try using Calculate depreciation batch job process.. If still the problem persist, explain the scenario so that i try work it out.

Hi Vijay... I experimented further and what you say seems exactly correct. I think I was becoming confused due to the customer's depreciation schedule, my unfamiliarity with Fixed Assets setup, and because the original PM for this in-progress project is no longer around.
Thanks very much for your tip. It verifies what I observed today.
