Extended Text porting

Hi all,

I need to dataport extended text for item master, i have extended text of length 400 in a csv file, but in extended text it accepts only 50 per line, and not comming in next line, how to validate in dataport through code, in what trigger. can any one help me.

Hi,

What table is the dataport based on?

You will need to break up the text into 50 chars and insert the extra lines through code.

Depending on the design use the OnBeforeImportRecord or the OnAfterFormatField/OnBeforeEvaluateField triggers

Or, chop the 400 characters up into 50 character chunks in Excel
