Importing Opening Transactions - Expense Transactions

Hello,
I am using definition files, and excel CSV files to try and import expense transactions to get the transactions against a project for opening position.
On both the general journal, and the expense journal they are the LedgerJournalTrans table. I have also seen that it posts to the LedgerJournalTrans_Project
Therefore I have created my definition files to import into both of those tables. The import works fine, but I am having problems with this.
The project expense journal that I use, and the general journals both use the same number sequence for the journal number.
When I run the import and open the journal from project expense journal, I cannot see any lines imported. It has however, imported the total journal value into the field at the top of the journal. I cannot post this however, as there are no visible lines.
When I open it from the general journal, it shows the lines, but does not import all of the fields. It misses out the project category, even though it existed on the import definition file. With so many transactions it is not feasible to go through and add each category manually. It also refuses to recognise the currency, even though that also exists.
Any help on this would be appreciated.
Regards
Craig

I have experienced the same when importing into the ProjJournalTrans, for importing hour transactions.
They import fine, but cannot be seen as lines in the journal.
Thanks
