Ax2009 and Ax5.0

Hi

We are all aware of the Axapta versioning , Offlate we have been using two versions Axapta 5.0 and Axapta 2009 simultaneously

Can any one clarify whether these two are the same versions ( world wide versions) or is there a difference in these two versions

If they are different then what are the differences

    Hi Johnson,

    Both Ax 5.0 and Ax 2009 refers to the same product.

    Here is a bit of background - years ago, when development team at MS started working on new Ax version, the code name given to this is 5.0. Subsequently MS decided to realign their Ax offerings with rest of their product suite (Office 2007 etc). That is how Ax 5.0 got re-christened as Ax 2009.
