Average cost Vs Unit cost

Hi,


Mt environ ment is Nav 4.0 sp3.

My item costing method is FIFO.

I done some purchase trqansaction and sale transactions.

AICE is running and Automatic cost posting = yes

But i observed one thing the fields Average cost and Unit cost has same value.

Can i know what is the difference between these fields exactly and when these fields will change.

    If you push F1 on the Unit Cost field, it will give a very complete explaination.

    The fields Average cost and Unit cost F1 help is diffeerent .
    But when we do transactions it showing the same value .

    That is what i want to know from you .

    If you have always set in the "Automatic cost adjustment" field (inventory setup form), unit cost and average cost will always have the same value.

    This setting will adjust the cost, updates the average cost in the unit cost and therefore, you don't need to run the ACIE process.
