does anybody know how do update navision 3.70 to 4.0 (SQL).
what i did:
installing navision 4.0 (cronus runs perfekt)
creating new database
restore cronus into new database (runs)
restore 3.70 file into 4.0 database
restore stops with error message:
object name already exist, existing object: table 11002 GDPdU definition group; new object table 5047670 definition group.
an object table 11002 neither exist in 3.70 nor in 4.0??
any tips for me?

Action Manual Reference
1. Prepare for the data conversion
1. Take a copy of the database on which to perform the conversion.
2. Verify that both your solution developer’s license file and customer’s license file have been upgraded to the newest version of Navision.
3. If the database has roles and permissions setup, create a SUPER user with a blank password if one is not provided. This is the user to use when you perform the upgrade.
4. Make a backup of the entire database before you begin.
5. Test the database for everything except table/field relationships.
6. Test the database for table/field relationships
7. Compile all objects and resolve what to do with those objects that do not compile.
8. Install and start a 4.0 client. Chapter 2 pg 4-5
2. Upgrade C/SIDE on SQL if you are upgrading a SQL database
If necessary, upgrade to SQL Server 2000.
Convert the existing SQL database using the 4.0 client. Chapter 5 pg 41-44
3. Open the old customized data using the new 4.0 client
Create a new 4.0 database twice the size of the old database.
Restore the backup of the old customized database into the new 4.0 database.
Alternatively, for Navision Server versions 2.60 or later, open a copy of the existing database with the new 4.0 client, convert the database and expand it to be twice the size of the old database. Chapter 6 Task 1 pg 50
4. From the Object Designer, import the Upgrade370400.1.fob file Chapter 6 Task 2 pg 51
5. For each company, perform any manual data or object changes to prepare the data for Step 1 of the upgrade
Make sure the values in the Unit-Amount Rounding Precision and Amount Rounding Precision fields for the additional reporting currency are not 0. Chapter 6 Task 3 pg 51-56
6. Run codeunit 104045, Upgrade 4.00 Step1
Run form 104001, Upgrade - Old Version, from the Object Designer.
For each company, on form 104001, click Transfer Data. This will run codeunit 104045. Chapter 6 Task 4 pg 56-57
7. On form 104001, click Delete Objects
This will run codeunit 104002 that deletes all forms, reports, dataports and codeunits from the database but NOT the tables. Chapter 6 Task 6 pg 58
8. Import the new customized objects created in the compare and merge process
In Import Worksheet window, click Replace All and then OK. Chapter 6 Task 7 pg 58
9. Compile all the objects in the new database Chapter 6 Task 8 pg 58-60
10. From the Object Designer, import the Upgrade370400.2.fob file Chapter 6 Task 9 pg 60
11. For each company, perform any manual data or object changes to prepare the data for Step 2 of the upgrade
Click Tools, Language and select the language of the old customer database from the list.
Use form 104090, Team – Meeting Organizers, to assign a salesperson code for the meeting organizer for each team.
Use form 5236, Human Res. Units of Measure, to set up human resource units of measure. Chapter 6 Task 10 pg 61-64
12. Run codeunit 104048, Upgrade 4.00 Step2
From the Object Designer, run form 104002.
For each company, on form 104002, click Transfer Data. This will run codeunit 104048. Chapter 6 Task 11 pg 64
13. For each company, perform any data changes needed after Step 2
Check if the customer has changed the standard source codes and/or source code setup, and update any new source codes if necessary. Chapter 6 Task 12 pg 65-67
14. For each company, initialize the company in the upgraded database
Run codeunit 2, Company-Initialize.
Close the company and open it again.
Open form 531, Setup Checklist, to update the checklist for the 4.0 data structure. Chapter 6 Task 13 pg 67-68
15. Upgrade data common to all companies
Security Roles and Permissions – on form 104002 , click Security and then click first Import Roles and then Import Permissions. This will run dataport 104001 and 104002 and import the new standard roles and permissions. Use codeunit 104005, Update Role Changes, to delete roles and permissions that no longer exist in the 4.0.
Database Key Groups.
Convert database logins to Windows logins if necessary. Chapter 6 pg 69-74
16. On form 104002, click Delete, Unused Tables
This will run codeunit 104003 that deletes old tables no longer used in 4.0. Chapter 6 pg 75
17. On form 104002, click Delete, Upgrade Toolkit
This will run codeunit 104004 that deletes the upgrade toolkit objects. Chapter 6 pg 75
18. Test the Database
Test the database for everything except table/field relationships.
Test the database for table/field relationships.
Test the upgraded database functionality using the customer’s new license. Chapter 6 pg 76
19. Install the new clients
Make a copy/backup of the new upgraded database.
Remove all the earlier versions of Navision from the client computers.
Install the new version of Navision on all the client computers and on the server. Chapter 6 pg 770
