Scanning a barocde

For scanning a barcode, we have made the barcode number to print in a HPLaser printer with barcode fonts now, temporarly till we print from a barcode printer itself.

Our scanner is keyboard wedge type.if i scan the particular barcode shades from ordinary paper ,its not scanning.

Should we need to match the font size according to the scanner type.is it then, it can read or only after printing barcode number from a barcode printer, Scanner can read?

any suggestion??

    Hello,

    I am not too familiar with barcode scanning procedures, but I don't think the scanner is smart enough to understand the origin of your barcode label. I think is the quality of your paper that does the trick.

    Try to print on other kind of paper, i.e. glossy paper should do the trick on sending the beams back to the scanner...

    Do you have enabled the type of barcode (EAN13, Code39, etc) you want to scan in the barcode scanner.. Not all types of barcode are default recognised.
