Hello
In Object designer you have a new object type Pages. When you click on Run nothing happens. In order to run the object, I have to run the following command from start->Run
Can Navision Object Designer just call that statement when you click on run?
Same would apply to Reports. give them the option to run classic or the RT client?

It doesn't make sense, as the object Page is meant to be used using the RT-client.No support using PM or e-mail - Please use this forum. BC TechDays 2024: 13 & 14 June 2024, Antwerp (Belgium)0

It makes sense, the Classic client will execute Dynamicsnav:////runpage?page=31 which will start the RT client.0

I do think it makes sense to have the Run button launch the URL - but I think there where a couple of other considerations and that is the reason for this not being part of NAV 2009.Freddy Kristiansen

They didn't want to turn the object designer into a home simpson car.

LOL.
I wish they did. Nav Developement environment is like AMC Pacer. http://www.ridelust.com/the-top-5-most- ... lame-cars/0 -
LOL
That made my day
Anyways - As long as you only have one database and one Service Tier - there really isn't a problem, but I think the primary reason is, that in the Classic Client you have a database and you really cannot relate that to a Service Tier URL.
DynamicsNAV://// launches the service tier and company you connected to the last time you had the Role Tailored Client open - that isn't necessarily the database in which you are doing the modifications.Freddy Kristiansen
