Finding out the day of the week from a date

Hi,

Im trying to find a way of finding out the day from a date given

For example

28/10/08 = Tuesday

Use the Date virtual table

MyDate.SETRANGE("Period Type",MyDate."Period Type"::Date);
MyDate.SETRANGE("Period Start",TODAY);
MyDate.FINDFIRST;
MESSAGE('Today is a ' + MyDate."Period Name");

or even simpler : Have a look at the date2DWY function ( NOT the Date2DMY one ! )

MyWeekDay := DATE2DWY(MyDate,1);
AnyDate.SETRANGE("Period Type",MyDate."Period Type"::Date);
