prospect high volume transaction

Hello we've got a prospect that has high volume of transactions.
They have multiple stores around 100. Each store makes about 10000 transaction a week. That's 4 million transaction a month.
We are thinking that LS retail could work.
They have 50K Items. Most of the processes will be batch posted.

Can navision handle such high volume transactions?
I'm guessing that in one year they are going to have close to 1 TB of data. and Item ledger alone will grow to 1 billion entry.
GL will reach 2 billion by then, that's the limit of integer.
They have to create a new company every year and bring over the balance.

What could you do the make navision to scale to that level of transactions?

They will be running on SQL. I don't know if native can handle that.
will 5.1 handle such volume?
Is axapta the right product for this client?

    Just wondering what happened with this post, i.e. did you implement the site and if so how did it go?

    We are scoping a large site at the moment. Transaction volumes are also large, 1000-2000 sales order lines per hour. We will be implementing Ax. Anyway, I'm looking for reference sites (400 + users) and contacts who have implemented large, high volume sites.
