Character Set Problem

I have a strange problem with a client with Navision 3.7 database server.
I created a dataport to import salesorders from a text file
On one of the records the Sell to City is
Málaga
When the order was imported into Navision it comes in as MßLAGA
I initially thought that this was to do with the language settings on the PC however they can see the word correctly rendered in MS word etc. It is only in Navision that this is an issue.
Any ideas?

Is the interface file in ASCII or in ANSI?
Imho it should be in ASCII or translated to ASCII.
Hope this helps

Hi Thomas
Thanks for your reply. The file is an ascii csv file.0 -
if you search the forum for ascii or ansi - you will find many posts about special characters0
