How do i restrict users from G/L setup

I would like s to restrict users from editing the Closing period in G/L setup and would like to define the same for only one user how do i do that?

    You can solve this by Using the Functionality

    Tools - security - Roles - Permissions

    Defne your permissions to your don't don't edit table Accounting Periods.

    In Accounting Periods read has General Ledger Setup. It was a mistake.
